Ive been eyeballin that place for years man, its a very errie place, during the eclipse of the sun in 99 I watched a lot of strange people and strange activity around that house....just across the road is the old covent and behind it we used to find dead chickens with there throats cut, strange markings on the walls and floor and candle wax all around the place. Beware is all I can say.

you'll always get a few half-wits who will assign a significance to the number 666 and then carry out a few "rituals". I doubt there is anything odd about the house other than the fact that a few people do stupid things around it.

also St. Anne's isn't even an anagram of Satan, although the house could be a worship site to people called Stan...

are your informants suggesting that it has some significance a la the building in Ghostbusters? if so, should this post not be moved to the ghoulie and ghosty forum i.e. spirituality?

    I doubt it.
Landser the house at the very least is poking fun at the number but is pretty old and being do it a while.
I have some heard silly stories about lots of Dublin it is just as likely there are real stories about this house as the Hell Fire Club

Seen it before, seems a bit strange but more than likely someone just though it would be a laugh to put St. Annes on the name of it. As for the dead chickens its probably just some teenie goths trying to attach some sort of significance to the place

It's been called St. Anne's for over a 50 years. It has been 666 for a long time. It not like we are talking about a new build, it's either Georgian or Victorian building.
It may even be connected to the Hell Fire Club from what I heard. It's all nonsence but what is the story is what I wanted to know. I live the Marino Casino and that has stories of haunting because of the old tunnel leading into the building.

Well its obviously old and all. Didnt know any of that other stuff about the length of time the number and names though does make it a little more strange-anyone ever tried spend a night or even try to gain entry? The hell fire club the place with the hoof prints burned into the floor yeah? Father says he tried spend a night up there once but he and his mates couldnt hack it wouldnt say why though. Dont much believe in the paranormal stuff much though.

The chaplain to the old folks home and former convent at Hybrasil lived at this house. When the convent closed the vocations director for the dublin diocese lived and recruited there.

Seems to be used as resource centre for some group now

Nothing to fear but fear itself.
