I have Windows XP. When I run chkdsk, it tells me I have file system errors but it cant fix them. Whats the best tool available out there for scanning/checking the disk?

I got a disk from winternals a few years ago that usually sorts that out for me. Other than that, I've hooked up the drive with the BSOD as a slave drive to a PC with a working installation and it repaired it.

    YMMV,

Edit : Check the winternals site out, I think it's Winternals.com
