Since I got Sky installed nearly a year ago, i have noticed that the sound on RTE1 is far worse than that of other channels. Its, how can I put it, fuzzy. Not crackly, but it becomes far more evident during conversation only programs such as the news....sounds almost like there is a sligth vibration in the noise and hence the output is fuzzzzyyyyy.
Anyone have any idea what might be happening here as it only seems to be RTE1. Its defo not an issue on RTE2 for example...

I have noticed this also, but only in the last couple of weeks. I have definitely noticed it during the 9pm News and was putting it down to poor sound equipment in the studio.

Then again, that is about all I watch on RTE1, so I can't say if it happens during other programmes.
