hi,i have a workmate from czech rep and has a czechlink card,he wants to set up system to recieve channels.i have a 1m dish and cant seem to get a signal frm 28.5 eurobird for said channels.do i need to get bigger dish for him or will same card work on 19* east where the same channels are.any info will be appreciated thanks in advance t.j

The only Czech channels I can see on 28E are on 12607, H, 27500. They are encrypted with Cyrptoworks, which AFAIK requires a matched receiver and card. Don't know if they are Czechlink channels or not. 1m dish is fine.

The channels on 19E are on 10921, 11993 , 12303 and 12383, all H, all 27500, all encrypted in Cryptoworks. Don't know if these are Czechlink either.

i can get CT24 (Czech news channel) on the Sky box. when the weather isnt too bad

I can get on astra 28 in crytoworks csfilm,prima tv, ct1, ct2, galaxi sport and free to air ct24, top tv.
and on astra 19,2 ocko and 24cz I think is news but do not understand the language.
I have a motorizid system with a 1,15 cm dish and you get only this.

on 23 the same as 28 but astra 19 it says is free to air but I get scramble signal

Even with my 80cm dish, the Czech channels on 28.2 are weak as it is a central Europe beam. CT24 much stronger on other satellites. 19E and 13E are probabily better, but with 80cm dish

Czechlink and SLovak link are on 23E alright, they pulled Slovak channels from 28E last month so I have a feeling he will need to point at astra on 23E. Incidentally Slovak link card is required of course. Usual radio channels there too fta. Oh the Language, "Proisim Vas dva krat pivo" should do ok with him..

Signal is full strength over here but as watty says the beam is over central europe.
Can anyone get a lock on the signal on 23E in Ireland. Id be interested too for a friend whos living there and misses home tv.

i have found czechlink channels with 80cm dish and a sky lnb !!???tried an mti ,titanium (on my 1m motorised dish)and other lnb's no signal? cant figure it out.anyway got card and it works in a technomate 1500ci+.so will be busy saturday putting it together.thanks for all the help:D

Are you using different coax cables between the 80cm/Sky LNBF and the 1m/MTI/Titanium?

Well done "tjspock" on the reception!
I need a favour from anyone who has a biggish dish, can anyone get a fix on the same signal from Astra3A on 23.5East freq 11525Vert 27500 fec3/4 in Ireland.
Also the Slovak package at 12565H 27500 fec2/3. Tv Joj and Ta3 are fta so might be something to look for on that last one.
Crate of virtual Czech beer in the post of course for the help.

With 115 cm dish is enough to get them, thats no problem, The only thing is that you need a crytoworks cam for the second freq : 12565 H 27500 is all scrambled:(
