Ski-ing in Telfes, Austria

Has anybody ever stayed at "Sporthotel Alpin" in Telfes, Austria for their ski-ing holiday? My husband and I are very keen to go on a ski-ing holiday to Austria, but it's SO expensive. However, we discovered this resort in the current Topflight brochure, which offers a lot of freebies, such as free lift pass during low season, free ski kindergarten for 3-12 year-old children, and free ski+boot hire for under 7's, to name but a few. I'm wondering if this is all too good to be true? It works out a lot cheaper than staying anywhere else! But before I hand over any money, could anybody inform me of what it's really like? Another major attraction is that transfer time from airport to resort is only 20 minutes - perfect when you have restless toddlers.

Never heard of it. Checked here and it's not mentioned. After some more research it seems like it's the stubai-glacier. That's on the link above.

Resort looks small and generally glaciers are for skiing away from peak times as they are usually flatter than normal winter skiareas. Because it's higher it's going to be colder too. That means COLD.

This might be a good place for a family holiday but i wouldn't expect much in the way of nightlife there. If you wanted a family holiday for beginner skiers then it looks ok. They should be but make sure lessons are available in english!

If you are not beginner skiers then i'd ask topfliht does the pass cover you in other areas.

I can't imagine what airport is only 20mins away, although i haven't really looked.

Thanks a million, Imposter! I think I'll book a place in kitzbuhel instead - I've got lots of recommendations for it!

I thought you were price sensitive!
Kitzbühel is one of the most expensive resorts in the world.
