I'm a first year biology student and I have to have a lab report handed in tomorrow. It's my first one of this level and while I have the basics, I really need to flesh it out. It's about the use of Koch's Postulates to identify a disease. I'm really having trouble with the abstract (summary) part of it. How much background information can I give? Any and all help is appreciated!

Find abstracts should be a long defintion thats easy to read. If they are picky please check that you havent put in "we,I,me,Us.......etc....." only some colleges do that. Makes the report look more professional.
