    Yes, I'm that geeky. :p

Has anyone got this? I got mine the other day, had a quick look through it. It looks pretty good. Nobody to play it with, though. :(

I'm just dying to create my character and play a game of it!

I hear it's been getting fairly good reviews. Not too sure, myself, as I haven't played one of these things before.

Waiting for someone to run a game myself, too. The system is an odd one, using just about every kind of die you can get, but I've turned it about in my head and I'm pretty sure it can work without being as clunky or time-consuming as so many other games (I'm looking at you, White Wolf, with your buckets of D10s!) My fellow gamers share similar opinions on it.

Ultimately though, it's going to be as good as the people playing/running it. A good gaming group can make any game fun to play.

The book itself is very swish. There are good production values there, some nice artwork, and I really like the deck-by-deck floorplans of some of the ships from the series/film. My own favourite section is where they list most of the Chinese insults people use, and their translations. :)

Sarky: Would it work in web form? *is thinking about something to follow on from 40k*

Probably. 'Tis a fairly minimal system as far as I remember. Quite easy to get the head around. I find webby RPGs get pretty freeform as it is anyway...

It's a bit like D20 with rolling and beating a certain score, but instead of increasing skills point by point, you increase the die you roll. Stupid characters would roll a D4 for intelligence checks (finally making them useful for more than daggers in D&D \o/ ), where a genius would roll a D12 and a D6.

Has anyone started a game yet? What's it like? I still can't find more than one person to play it with.

Also, where do you get the dice? Do they have them in Forbidden Planet? I figure my chances of playing the game are a bit higher if I have dice.. :p

My gaming group has been running it for the last couple of months (more or less since it came out) and it seems to work quiet well.
