How likely do you think it is that the VAT threshold for the sale of goods will be raised to €120,000 ?

It's currently about €90,000 in the UK...and just €51,000 in Ireland
The position in relation to the issue of VAT threshold is a simple one. The thresholds in this area have not been increased since 1994. We are proposing that they be increased from €25,000 to €60,000 for service providers and to €120,000 from €51,000 for traders. This would in effect restore the real value of the thresholds to their 1972 levels when they were introduced. We believe that the current low VAT levels represent an impediment to the development of the small business sector, particularly in the early years of company set ups.

I suppose at first blush it makes sense, I'm sure it would help small businesses.
