Also (and i may well be wrong so sorry if i am), but if you won that ticket online, would the £3,500 not also include expenses that are put directly into your poker account? Still would be cheaper than a direct buy in i suppose tho.

the expenses are not included and i had nothing put in my account. You have to make your own way there but the seat is reserved.

At today's rates £3,500 is 5,129euro. The buy in for the Masters is 4,200 euro including reg. £2,500 is 3,664 euro, a discount of 534 euro, not the £1,000 (1,465 euro) discount implied in the post.

P.S Where the fcuk is the euro sign on a keyboard!!
