dvd region free computer

    hey is there any way to make my dvd drive in my computer to play any region dvds?

    is there any downloads or guides? sorry if this is against forum rules, if it is please delte mods

    please suggest

    DVD RegionFree, or AnyDVD(Thank you SS) - not free if obtained legally.. but cheap enough. They remove the region protection on the fly.

    Yup just want to play different region dvds on my computer so thought it was worth a go, have found a site with a downloadable trial version of one program which does it

    VLC Media Player

    It just ignores your region settings completely.

    try dvd genie,covers alot of dvd playing software,pm me if ya would like me to forward it to you,if you are having trouble sourcing one that suits ya,its freeware as far as i know,

    Search for your drive on rpc1.org and flash it's BIOS for a permanent fix.

    Will void warrenty if flashed.

    I 2nd VLC Media Player, no need to flash your drive.

    Unless there's another benefit (Better/More media support, faster speeds,fixes,etc.) other than Region fixing: I think flashing the drive is a terrible solution.
    I keep forgetting about VLC. thirdededed!
