PC won't stay asleep!

I recently picked up a new motherboard/processor/RAM for my PC, and was pleased to see everything defualted to S3 mode sleep when you suspended the operating system.

However, about 2 weeks ago, my PC started coming out of suspend of its own accord, within 5 mins of me sleeping it. I can't understand this, since all the "Wake on xxx" options in the BIOS are set to false in the BIOS (it should only wake when I press the power button). I didn't change any hardware aside from plugging and unplugging an SATA hard disk at one point. I'm also running a USB mouse & keyboard, but wake on USB is disabled, as is wake on LAN.

Any ideas? Could a windows service (such as MySQL or Apache) be pulling my PC out of sleep?

Oh, and for the record - when I hibernate, the same thing happens.

    What OS?
(Even if the BIOS options are checked) Manually check "enable this device to wake the computer" are unticked in Device Manager?
    Hmmm..what MOBO?

if you have a modem connected to your machine, the phone ringing could wake your machine, check for scheduled processes also.

Hmm - no devices should be waking my PC. Just disabled my Wireless card there now, its just idling anyway, and going to give it another go...

    OK - that didn't work

So - to answer your questions, currently just running WinXP although I have a Linux partition set aside ready for debian.
The mobo is an Abit Fatality nForce 4, no modem, no scheduled tasks and everything is disabled in the hardware manager when it comes to waking up devices.

Services that are out of the normal are:
Apache2, MySQL, AVG Antivirus, ATI Hotkey Poller, VNC Server, ad DCOM is off

Startup processes are TaskSwitchXP, AVG Antivirus, Logitech Mouseman, Apache and ApacheMonitor, Rio Manager, Steam, ATI2evxx, mysql-nt, and nForce 4 drivers.

I can't imagine any of the above preventing sleep, but about to turn them off and find out...

Found it! While wake on lan was disabled in the BIOS and the power settings, in advanced under the hardware tab for my network card, there was a manual parameter called WakeOnLANStandby which was set to "enable" - set it to disabled, problem solved.
