I just recieved a second chance offer on an item i didnt win on e-bay.
I have heard of ppl getting stung on the second chance offers before.
Should i leave it, or email the seller to make sure the offer is genuine?
any advice would be a help, Thanks

if you click on it you should be brought to ebay and go through it in the normal way. I think people being stung are when the person comes back outside of ebay asking for payment through paypal but not going via ebay at all.
I have had 2 second chance offers and had no problems, and expected none as it went through ebay just like any other.

I am suspicious of the 2nd chance offer only because it seems to be a handy way for a seller to use a different account to bid against you, and obviously try to get you to outbid him.

If at some stage you decide not to outbid, he "wins" the auction with the other account, but does the 2nd Chance offer to the 2nd highest bidder.

I have never heard of anyone getting stung on the 2nd chance offer. You should be able to tell, with a bit of research, if you are the victim of shill bidding.
