Level 8 problem

I have to fortify the Second stronghold, and there are flashing red circles. Well I have put all my troups there, built a Chappel Barrack, Monastery, Armoury, Machine Circle and every other building I have available to me. Ive also repaired all the turrets and buildings. But yet, I still have not fortified the stronghold?…

I have to fortify the Second stronghold, and there are flashing red circles. But yet, I still have not fortified the stronghold? And even though Ive captured all the strategic points on the map I cannot progress to protect the key cos I havent completed the 1st objective? Any help?

The objective says just get your troops there. and yes I've fully upgraded the stronghold to LVL2.
