    Hey all.

Im hoping that someone around here can offer some suggestions on some good places to get cheap enough and cherfull Shoutcast Hosting. Like to stream at about 32kbps and for the moment a max of 10/20 listeners at any one time.

Iv been working with an internet raido - IceRadio - whos manager/owner no longer wishes to run the Shoutcasting server. So im taking it over, but am having problems with our current host ScreamingHost.com who are ignoring ALL my emails and telephone calls so I cant renew the subscription in a new account or even create a new order as there site doesnt seem to allow me (I tried on two different PC's, one using IE 7/Firefox, other using IE6) make an order.

So basicaly, if there gonna ignore me (been over a week now, and they keep fobbing of the original owner) I want to find a new host - which is where the lads and lassises of boards.ie come in! Im hoping that people can recommend me a host for the new Shoutcast sever (streaming @ 32kpbs with max of 10/20 listners at any one time - like to pay monthly if possible).

Current rate on screaminghost:: 32kpbs with max of 20 listeners at any one time at about €10 a month!

Hope you can find me a solution - need one by the end of the month at max when the subscription expires!

Many Thanks for your help :D

Well, we do it, but only on dedicated servers from € 59.95 a month (see sig)

Sorted out the WinAMP Forums account, posted and got some good advice and links. Happened to be given a link to TidyHosts UK - €3 a month for 20 listener max at 32kbps. Nice offer, and support is good so far.

ScreamingHost pretty much went bust. There data centre pulled the plug on them as they owe them money (well, a ScreamingHost user owes them money and as a result, the datacentre wasnt payed and refuse to come to a comprimise bla bla bla - see it al on the site: http://www.screaminghost.com/).

Was given some other nice sites if I want to expand my listnership or move to another host, so I think im well prepared.

Thanks for all your assistance, and steve, id love to go for an Irish host and iv heard good reports about Hosting of ye, but €50 a month for a dedicated server is to pricey and not what I need anyway. If ye offer similar packages to what I have in the future, please let me know. Id be interested in going with someone I can trust for sure, ye guys have a good reputation it seems!

    Thanks again.

Sounds like a decent deal, cheap and cheerfull. Lets know in a few weeks how you get on.
