    What version are you using?

Are you sure it's not your net connection intermittently dropping?

version 1.0.6 Definately not a connection issue 100% sure of that.

Error msg: Could not connect to server, pop.iol.ie; the connection was refused.
havent changed any settings, thats 1 example I have 3 Severs i connect to, all the same.

Any firewall software doing the schizo shuffle?

I use Thunderbird (latest version whatever it is - can't recall) and I have absolutely no problems whatsoever with it.

Which antivirus software are you running? If it's AVG, you might have to disable the Email Scanner to allow thunderbird to connect to those mail servers. Have this problem myself.
