Fuzzy picture on lcd screen

Hi, I'm using a regular ntl cable box connection, not digital. The 2 tvs upstairs in my house have perfect receptions on every channel. The tv i had in my sitting room was perfect until i upgraded the tv. I bought a 32" LCD and now my reception is awful. I have the channels tuned right, but they all have fuzz on them. I've tried fine tuning on all of them to no avail. Can anyone tell me what the issue is here?

    Cheers.

you are gonna need digital tv to get the benefits of an lcd.
unfortunately the basic cable signal is not good enough for lcd.try a dvd on the telly, thatll tell you if its the tv that is faulty or your signal is not good enough. i remember i used to sell 100 hz crt tvs a couple years ago, people used to give out and say their picture was worse.your tv can only be as good as your signal.

Unless it is 1m to 2m pixels, LCD will always look inferior unless the signal is exact number of pixels as screen. Only high quality DVDs are.

It is same effect as non-native VGA resolution on a laptop or PC LCD screen, i.e. if screen is 1024 x 768, even 800x 600 looks a bit "motheaten" as the pixels can't match exactly.

800x 600 will be better on a 1600x1200 screen, but then 1024x 768 looks rotten.

    Same principle.

P.S. "Perfect" TV on an NTL cable box?
Very rare. I have had analog cable kicked out of 4 addresses. It is dreadfull.

I've got NTL (analogue, digital, AND 3 Meg Broadband) and it IS indeed perfect. You can't tar everyone with the one brush Watty. It's like saying everyone's phone is bad, eberyone's Sky is bad, etc etc. It's called generalising.
