Suzuki TS50 trials bike

Thinking of getting one of these in the next few days. It's a 1988 with 24,000 miles on it. Has anyone had any expierience with them and is there anything I should look out for. The owner said that they have a total loss system , does anyone know what that is, or what he might be refering to. Thanks K

1988 with 24k miles? That's pretty high mileage for a two stroke, isn't it?
Is it the original engine?

It's the original engine as far as I know. It was used off road, I plan on doing it up and putting it back on the road. My girlfriend is going to learn to drive on it.
