    ...is the art of political journalism and the interview completely gone or is this the best RTE can come up with?

    This man is hopeless. He manages to come across as a frustrated, incompetent schoolteacher losing his temper with a crowd of 7 year olds. Clearly he mistakes repeating a question ad nauseum for tenacity, and sighs and 'tut tuts' for riposte and analysis. Sometimes he makes me feel like throwing the radio - but that would be losing my temper, like him...

    You are thinking of "Ireland AM" (which is crap) ... Morning Ireland is a radio program on RTE Radio 1

    Don't listen to it much, (my parents do) so can't comment on quality of interviews, though I always find radio interviews normally are far to short and never really get any answers, as I would imagine it is easier to deflect questions when you don't have a camera pointing at your face watching every little bead of sweat

    yes i agree he sometimes does,do that, but sometimes he's very good an pressing the answer out of people being evasive

    maybe he's not a morning person
