As far as I know they are still there in Smithfield, you could always give them a shout.
The contact details are on their website http://www.dublinbrewing.com/ContactBrewery.html

What's the name of the pub in Smithfield where they used to try their new beers out?

It is actually their own pub attached to the brewery, I did a bit of networking for them once and ended up getting hammered, never paid mind (bastards) but they did fill us up with drink and I even brought a demijohn home full of beer, that was a good night.

The Cobblestone, they still have the banner outside I think but when I checked a couple of weeks ago the guy behind the bar had no idea what I was talking about when I tried to order one of their beers :)

I think they still have a warehouse location down the street back towards the city centre.

It would be a shame if they went, I have been trying to find out what bars in town still do their beers, some of the ones that used to stock them and/or had them on tap, don't anymore.

Don't think it was the Cobblestone? If I recall correctly they used to have a pub set up either in, or adjacent to the premises where the brewery is, whi is a bit down the road from the cobblestone...
A few years ago the were prosecuted for running a shebeen, as it turns out although they were licensed to brew beer, they weren't licensed to sell beer on the premises... I think the 'pub' shut up shop after that...

They had a sheebeen running there alright, you used pay 20 pounds and then it was all you can drink for the night. It was a strange place there, standard practice to skin-up at the bar and also pull your own beer when the staff were too hammered to bother, the regulars were also a weird crowd.
It was pretty wild in any case, music was provided by regs or whoever took to the decks.

So am I right in saying the Brewery is still alive and well, but the 'shebeen' is gone??
Maybe that's where the rumour grew from

I'm afraid they're gone alright - closed for good about 6 months ago. Have to make do with porterhouse or Messrs in Dublin, Biddy Early's if you're heading west.

The Cobblestone's the one I was thinking of, didn't know about the sheebeen. Sounds like it was a good spot though :D

Just came across 6 bottles of D'arcy's Dublin Stout while clearing out the cellar. Best before 24.03.04!

Was their beer any good? Anyone remember them?
