How to fix water damage in laptop LCD?

Silly me, I left my laptop in the boot of my car the other night and water leaked into my laptop. I dried it out and all seems fine except for the screen which seems to have what looks like a big blobby stain on it where, I suppose water went in or is still in it.

Anyone here have any experience with same? Can it be repaired? Do I have to send it to manufacturers for replacement? Is there any where in Ireland to do these repairs? And finally, any ideas how much it would cost?

    Thanks,

    T.

Its due to the backing on the screen soaking up he water.

Unless you have some sort of accidential damage cover it will cost you.

post a photo (If for little more than amusment value ..sorry:) )
99% likelihood it'll have to be replaced (1% = take it apart,dry/clean gently... chances are it'll only get worse or no affect)
how much it costs: depends on where you go (i.e. Manufacturer, 3rd party repairs, or eBay) - what make / model is it?
