    Shock Horror, NOT!

See what happens when you come on here and do nothing but slag off our "oh so hard-working" oompa loompas! They stop working! :(

At approx 12:20pm yesterday monday and approx 10:45am today tuesday the entire Arts block was thrown into darkness (and inevitable chaos) when the entire complex suffered an electricity blackout! Much panic ensued outside theatre L such as turning ppl around to see if they were your friends and hugging them before realising they were, in fact, not.

Anywho, minor topic on this thread is the cause of the blackout. Major topic on this thread is What were you doing at the times of darkness? Pool? Lecture? Drinking? Elevator? LG Toilets? Many funny stories should be told, if not, for shame on you all, for shame....

Oh yeah, surprised there was no thread on this yesterday, hmmm...

Anywho, maybe the weather had something to do with the leccy problems...?

And during the blackout I went to the restaurant with my girlfriend.

    Not very interesting, sorry :(

weather shouldn't have contributed as I thought UCD generated its own power so would i be right in guessing if that was the problem the whole campus would have gone out.

generates some, buys some. they use a gas turbine (which is a bit like an aircraft jet engine) to make heat and power simultaneously. check out http://bms.ucd.ie/areas/boilerhse/non_energy/chpheat.shtml

some eejit probably pegged his toaster into the sink in the LG toilets or something.

Mwaha - my fiendish plan was successful then! :D

I was in Th.Q - The lecture was practically finished anyway, so f**k it... As to the cause; Grimes' artificial Wave-Generator may have had something to do with it...
