Sorry about the vagueness of the question. I have a laptop. I keep running out of space and needing to delete stuff. How do I rectify this problem? (Aside from disc cleanup or disc defragmenter)

Thats more than a little vague. Sounds like you need a much much larger HDD than you have. Have you uninstalled all unwanted software and cleared all temporary files and deleted all files that you do not need?

Check the Essentila software sticky too. There are some non-microsoft apps that defrag faster and more. try privacy mantra for ridding you of unwanted rubbish...........just have a look.

Other than that new HDD i reckon. Whats your laptop spec at the moment.

You can clear old System Restore points (if you're using XP..)
You can change the % reserved for the recycle bin (again,if you're using Windows at all..)

If your drive is NTFS you can try the compression it gives.
