I'm in awe of people who can play several tables at one time, I can't handle all the beep beeps, and it's your turn stuff, and tables popping up all over the place, it's like that game that tests your reflexes...Bop It i think it's called.

Only the Prima network (AFAIK) seems to have come up with a User Friendly Multi-Table option that you can minimise screens to fit.

Anyways, that's my fault, I can't multi-task .... so a simple poll is in order

How Many Tables do you play at one time? 44 votes

I tend to do much better if i stick to playing one table.

I find its very hard to pick up on who is the idiot at the table going all in with nothing and so on when your playing more than one table.

I usually play 2 tables especially if i'm playing STT's or MTT's. I could probably even play 3 here.

If I play cash it's usually 2 tables unless i'm tired and/or I'm finding myself not having enough time to properly make decisions.

tribeca is a nightmare for this. last time i timed out pocked kings i just gave up. ridiculous. if the tables reduced in size to play 2 or 3 tables on the same screen then i would be more inclined to give it a go.

Until recently I was only playing STTs and I'd play 3-4 at at time. Now I play 1-2 Cash games and 1-2 STTs at the same time. Normally have 4 tables open or a minimum of 3 at least.

The last couple of nights I've been having problems with timeouts, but that's a connection issue rather than not keeping up with the games.

No more than 2 tables for me. But only if im playing 9 or 10 player tables in MTT/STTs

6 player tables which has recently become my prefered table size then only one table. Game moves quicker and I like to concentrate on taking notes on what ppl are doing.

usually run with a tool like poker indicator which shows mucked hands where you win the showdowns.

I typically can be found multi-playing 2 tables on Stars, either one 6-seater STT and one 9-seater STT or two 6-seaters STTs, and usually have a book in the hand or am browsing boards. Where I find it difficult is when I have to take a call at the same time, I either concentrate on the call and as a result make a mistake on the tables, or vice versa, pissing friends off by being so non-responsive!

Typically two, if playing stt's, 3 on the rare occasions that I play cash games.

was 4 tableing the .25/50 6 handed games on Empire, and it was working well. Although I couldn't get as good reads from the table, the pros were outweighing the cons.

The problems came when I was running bad.... when you get hit by a combination of playing badly... a lot of bad beats... and not hitting flops, then you can lose a large amount of your bankroll very quickly. :(

so have dropped down to two tables in cash games.

If I am playing in a MTT, I will normally play two STTs as well. I have two machines, so play the mtt on one and the STTs on the other... works well enough.

Must try that prima network, have a look at the resize of the tables. Whats the pickings like at that site? Game choice, size of playing field etc??

I find it much harder to multi-table if there is overlap. Most sites can fit at least four tables on the screen at 1600x1200.

About a year or two ago I went through a phase of 8 tabling lowish stakes like 1/2. You need to be using microgaming sites (prima/ladbrokes) or two monitors. To be honest, I found it a bit of a headache even without the overlap.

These days I usually play two or three, depending on what type of tables they are. Sometimes only one.
