Can you book longhaul with expedia on an Irish credit card?

Expedia.com and .co.uk both say that if you have a billing address outside the UK/USA, you can only book hotels and car rentals and NOT flights. However, I've read elsewhere (a different forum) that if you book on .com with an irish credit card, there's no problem.

Can anyone tell me definitively if you can or not. It will be flights ONLY (to the US, mexico, internal US and back to Ireland) and no hotels involved, should this make a difference.

    TIA

I've booked flights on expedia.co.uk a number of times with an Irish credit card. No problems at all.

I tried to book flights on the .COM version before with my Irish credit card and it bascially told me to bugger off.

I did however bring the print off to my local travel agent and they matched the price. I didn't of course tell them that I couldn't book it online.
