Just trying to figure this out, i'm sure it's pretty simple :o

if the starting chips is 4k you get 2k at the start and take the other 2k any time you like at no extra cost?

    what's the point exactly?

So we can have debates on when you should take your second 2k.

Would it not be best to take your chips at the start to max your winning of chips in a hand.

It is something I was told when starting out playing cash games you should always have the max available to you so you can win the max possible.

No use have $50 at $100 table

I think the point should be fairly obvious, given the name of the tournament.
You have a second chance, if you want it.

I have seen some people taking their "top-up" almost immediately, but personally, I always use it as a life-line, lest I fúck up early on.
I think most people do the same.

Oh, and it's 1500 chips to start (plus punctuality bonus) and 1500 chips for your "top-up".

The problem with this is most players will only take 1500 so therefore early on thats all you can win of one player.

What time do you have to be there for the bonus?

as far as the double chance, the double load of chips goes, i think it is a very good idea. alot of people dont like playing in tournaments were there are re-buys, as this means they could play too tight and the advantage would be with the bigger wallet, whereas here it allows you to play your normal game, whatever it may be, and if you are extremelely unfortunate, outdrawn or just played a hnad terribly you get your "double chance" to redeem yourself for no extra cost.
very good value tournament and would recomend it to many, esp those who are looking for a step up in level from the free roll, without crippling themself financially. (student talking here!)
on the chips a feel best to take well befor the break, esp if you have taken a dent in your chips, and have not been knocked out.
i'l b there myself tonight, goodluck all
