iPods and Vinyl Dye

Hi

I am buying an iPod 20Gb next week but dont like the way I can only get it in while

There is also the U2 Special Edition one but I dont like the red in the middle

I was reading about case modding and vinyl dye and was wondering if I bought the normal white iPod could I dye it black using vinyl dye?
Would it retain the glossy look?
How would I go about covering the white button names when dying it.

hmm dont know if thats a good idea i think the paint job would look crap tbh different Strokes.

why not just by the new iPod (which does video-30GB/60GB versions) which now comes in black...

I know I was waiting to see what they where anouncing anyway yesterday. I already ordered a black one. Should be here next week.
