    Hello All,
I would like to congratulate the Two Shooting Athletes,
    who represented Ireland last week,
at the Tyrol Open 2005 PPC pistol shooting competition in Hopfgarten Austria.

This is the second year that Team Ireland has taken part, and their performance was nothing short of fantastic.

John and Michael Walls between them won,

    5 Golds.
    5 Silver.
    5 Bronze.

Two Great Irish shooters and Two Gentlemen also.

    Dvs.

How come there were so few this year?, I'd have thought that with the increase in the number of licenses issued in the last year that there would have been considerably more attending.

I suspect that others who might have attended were put off by the stink created here after last year's event.

If they were, it doesn't take much to put them off...

To be fair to the shooters civ, they had 11 days or so in which to indicate both that they were interested in the match and could come up with the estimated €1360 it would take to take part in it. Next year should see an improvement as the NASRC will have had time to book flights and accomodation for the team well in advance, and will presumably be able to give longer notice to shooters, and run selection shoots and squad training and so on.

Meanwhile, well done to John and Michael for going and doing so well.

    Congrats to the Walls Team.

    When was this advertised.

What governing body "Banner" did this fall under.
How can one try out for these events.
Affliated to the SSAI and NASRC. Never seen any information.

Posted on the LRPC a while back. Here's the post copied to boards.ie at that time.
