A Case Of Fine French Wine

When offered as a prize, is it incorrect to have each word in capital letters? And if so why?

Sorry to put this in after hours but this is to resolve an argument!

Unless the prize is being given out at the national grammer rodio, i doubt whoever wins it will give a toss...If It Looks Good Then Do It, if not, then don't.

    But personally, give me wine.

Its not "incorrect" but most companys who use signs and posters all do it all the time, its juts makes it look better when its printed, Each Word Stands Out.

    'Of' shouldn't be capitalised.

The way I understood it was that, of, if, and etc. shouldn't be capitalised in titles.

It is incorrect there are rules.
Basically all the major words should be capatalised but the minor are not in a title (a, the, of etc..)
At best it could have been "A Case of French Wine". If that was the title of the competition
At worst it should have been " A case of French wine" which is probably what it should have been.
Signs are made by people some know correct grammar some don't. Some may be done so for artist reasons but I would say most is out of ignorance. I am terrible at typing so I spell baddly when typing but general internet chat should be considered like spoken english.

    For the rules.

For a thread about correct grammar the majority of the posts contain examples of particularly sh*te grammar - what is the written language coming to?

Oh, the irony of it all

No doubt, Ann, you deliberately omitted the comma between 'grammar' and 'the'. I'm sure that you are well aware of the custom of separating with a comma an independent clause and an introductory phrase. :p:p
