bjj championships weight question

    It gives two weights, one and then one with the gi. What are we weighed by? Like, it states 61KG and then 65KG with the gi on. Are we weighed by both or is it just, put your gi on, step on the scales and if you're under 65KG you're fine?

    The weight stated with the gi on is the weight you have to be under as you step into the ring.

    No I was getting weighed in and then rehydrating for Rings on Saturday.

    weigh-ins between 9-10am

    if you miss your weight then automatic disqualification - just like the mundials, pan-ams, europeans etc etc

    i'll be doing up the pools on friday and i ain't going to try and re-arrange everything on the day with everything going on coz of someones inability to stick to a weight category they've known about for weeks

    yeah you're right. we'll just scrap the weight categories. everyone just turn up on the day and i'll match you up by 'make of gi':rolleyes:

    Weigh-ins are really early. I'll have to be up at like 5 in the morning to make it for the competition. Working til 11 the night before doesn't leave me with much sleep. Ideal for anyone living in dublin, not so ideal for me. Now I have to beg for this weekend off as they felt it would be fun to put me on this weekend for the craic of it. Nazis.
