Hard Drive Problem

Some of you may remember that I had a problem with my hard drive a while back.
Well I think i found the cause of the problem, but now I need a solution.

    Cause:
I think the hard drive vibrated too much or got knocked around a bit on my way to work one day.
When I opened it up, I couldn't see anything out of place..
Anyone had a problem like this before?

The HD is a laptop HD in external case, but I presume there isn;t much difference between that and a 3.5" drive so anything could be helpful.
    thanks.

u opened the hard drive, or the external enclosure?

If you opened the hard drive, then now it definitely is broken.

If the drive is intact, you could try it in another enclosure, in a laptop, or just make sure that the connectors for the current enclosure are in properly (had one go wrong on me before, just needed to be pushed back together properly).

I didn't open up the hd, just the enclosure.

When I plug in the USB ports, I don't hear anything spinning....

    Any clues?
