Just got a tip for Powerstation in the first at Limerick today (2.10). Currently trading at 7/1. I have no other information on it, just the name and where it's racing so my apologies guys. Viewers discretion is advised.

I notice Garvivonian is racing in the 3.45. This is the horse I posted for the Kerry National at Listowel but it failed to impress there. Don't bet on this horse today lads, as I feel Euro Leader should win this race.

If you remember what I said about the national "I would normally go for Euro Leader here, but seeing as I got Garvivonian as a tip I will go for it instead". Euro Leader won on that day and I ate my hat. I'm not making that mistake again today. Watch the race though, and just have a look at how it does.

Robbed, 2nd place kicked off too soon I think. Very statisfactory run from Powerstation, will definately be going into the notebook.

Aye, the punters definately got it right there, I'll admit the better horse did win. Paddypower got fleeced - about bloody time too.

One of those days for me, looked at Jimmy Spot On this morning but felt it was carrying too much weight, it wins by a country mile @ 12s. :o

Why? I'm getting a bit tired of you and your pin to be honest.

Explanations or we'll move all your choices into their own little thread in the corner.

My reason for selecting this horse was explained in another thread created for this race. Ran a shocker today, the trainer was interviewed and he said he was not very confident about it's chances today. I should have listened to him. It never jumped properly, and never got into it. Possibly seeing the effect of running over French hurdles.

that tip was for s8n because he asked.

and im not the best at explaining why a horse should win because everybody says the same thing. he has a good draw or the ground is suited.i give the tip and then its up to you if you want to put it on.its called trust.

But you have done nothing to earn the trust of anybody on here. Sorry to be harsh, I know it's just an internet forum but anybody can come on here and give the name of a horse....that's not hard. It's backing up your reasons and sometimes getting results that earn you trust. You have never done this, or even tried, you just throw the names of horses out there and hope to get lucky.

I'd be delighted if ya could prove me wrong.

I backed this horse recently & it ran a stinker! fin 15/17, can't recall what caught my eye at the time, might have been spencer on board, anyway I do remember thinking what a nap, really don't see it making much of impression today either, up a class to boot.

If you seen something or note I'd love to hear it, especially since I've already lost money on it!

And that's a fine way to start...

"he ran a great race against horse x who beat horse y last week"

    or

"I saw he was gambled on last week but never got a run"

    etc..

Start as vaguely as you like and the more you post and read posts from everyone else, the better you'll become at writing about the horsies

Powerstation races in Naas on Saturday in the 5pm race.

Just another note, I think this distance suits it alot better, I think it's last race was a couple of furlongs too much for it.

    EDIT: came 2nd again

Powerstation races in Cheltenham on Sunday 13th November in the 1.05pm race. This race is a somewhat tougher contest for it, however it has already overcome several of this opposition on several occasions so I really do think it will be placed again, and it's forecasted to be in the 16 - 20s mark, which is great each way value. They are not taking it to cheltenham for the sights, and I'm going to continue to follow this horse. It's due a win, it owes me a small few bob, today might just be the day. But I do admit, this is it's toughest test to date.

Powerstation races in Navan on Sunday 27th November in the 1.10 race, and is forecasted at the 3/1 mark.

    Powerstation wins @ 7/2.

Powerstation finishes 2nd in Cheltenham at 10/1. It ran a cracker of a race, and Black Jack Ketchum won like an evens favourite should win. Powerstation came from off the pace as it always does. I was absolutely amazed by it's run today. Delighted :)

    humpidy bump...

So you really believe this horse can challenge BJK?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,230 ✭✭✭scojones

I've been dwindling (sp?) over this all week. I can't go near BJK with the odds it is chump. There's no way I'm going to put that much on it in order to get a decent return from it. Anything can happen, a horse could take it down. I'd rather not risk that much money to be honest. I'm going for Powerstation, and I'm also betting a BJK first, Powerstation second, forecast to cover my arse cause that's more than likely what is going to happen. But fingers crossed for a big run from Powerstation.
