OK first what are the rules im confused.

Boxings rules are u hit hard as u want with just gloves to head and body
Muay Thai is same cept to legs and knees/kicks/elbows

WTF is kickboxing i hear 2 much conflicting info, sometimes i hear its just Muay Thai without knees or elbows, other times i hear its just boxing with kicks only above belt. And also theres light-contact, and semi-contact where u pause & stuff.

Is it a proper full-contact organised sport in Ireladn just like boxing? Plz explain its all confusing.

What's more confusing is your inability to write in regular english and not that stupid text shorthand.....

    lots of different rules.

    full contact kicks above waist

    kicks to leg rules

light contact continous fight, not supposed to be as hard as full contact, its a bit faster, but stillcan be hard contact

semi contact or points fighting which is the greatest load of BS I ever come across in my life.

That's a bit unnecessary Kevin. All he did was replace "too" with "2" and "you" with "u". Hardly enigma code stuff.

OK, you're right. It's not really that big a deal, but I do prefer to read posts in regular language...... :o

OK so when someone says a guy is a kickboxer, I can never know exactly what he does? I have to ask?

It basically means that he can use both his feet and his fists during his contests.

After that it really depends on exactly what he is entering!

If someone says they do kickboxing we can pretty much rule out Muay Thai, as they will normally just say they do Thai boxing.

Kickboxing can be a bit of a blanket term, so you can't really say for sure what's involved for a 'kickboxer'. Even some sport karate clubs will use 'kickboxing' to describe their sport.
