Girlfriend just got a new laptop, and is trying to go on line using my broadband conection - she can only get online when the firewall is disabled, when it is enabled it stops here going on any website. A message comes up saying an intrusion has been detected and blocked due to a bad destination address. Her own laptop itslef is tagged as the 'intruder' and 0.0.4.0 is given as the bad destination address. Any help?

First thing to do is get Norton of PC

    Then install Kerio (It's free :D )
If you have Norton antivirus installed aswell, get rid of it.
Then install Av-vir or Avg (There free aswell :D )

dont just get rid of norton - its not too bad- 0.0.4.0 is a bad ip address, it sounds like your gf's laptop is setup wrong .. you might need to setup norton or the laptop
go to start -> run-> type "cmd"
    then type "ipconfig"

you will see the ip addres of the laptop..let us know what it is

bwt- if you want to get rid of norton ie you only have a temp licence then go for kerio or zonealarm + avg or avast! (avast! seems better from my experience) - just put the names in google to get the software
