    LOL :D
I'm just wrecked after a busy day at work and partially just couldn't be arsed going out tonight.
Trying to cut down on the drink too, not for financial gain but for my health, I think this summer has done extreme damage to my liver/kidneys :(

I spent a small fortune last night and was in work till 9 tonight so was just doing a bit of editing and generally taking it easy tonight. Work again in the morning and then again tomorrow night. But then off till November

Drank 3 litre bottles of bulmers last night then had a fillet steak dinner and dessert, and then had 8-9ish pints of Guinness.

So taking it easy tonight... My poor body hurts!!

Just in from work. I never go to the pub after work, always too knackered. Don't drink too much myself, but when I do, I do...

well....At least you're earning money for your saturday night, not "p1ssing it up against the wall"....

I've tried to go on nights out without drinking, made it through a few but they were soo boring compared to the nights involving copious amounts of drink. They always lead to memorable situations :D .

    Haha, so true!

Anyone got any funny memorable stories from drunken nights?

A guy I used to work with would go to the 24hr Tesco near him on his way home from a night out, buy a pack of chicken nuggets, get home and stick them in the oven. Then go to bed!

He did it so many times (probably twice, I'm not sure) that his parents would lock the kitchen door when he went out!

More riduculas than funny but two lads decide to have a competition to see who can piss the highest up the wall. Its was a pretty close call so their friend, a girl, goes over, drops the tights and beats them both

Hahahahahaha :D , that made me laugh.
I really have to many to remeber, lets see.
Ahhh, we all went out for our usual saturday madness. Afterwards we decided to walk home, gather up all our surfing gear and go sleep on the beach. We slept in our wetsuits on the sand, nearly froze to death  . Woke up at 6 and found 2 hobo's looking over us, jumped up and where the first in the water :).

We used to steal every temporary road-sign on the long walk home, that was great craic. When I say "used to", I mean "the last time we were in the pub".
    Keep 'em coming...

The most recent was me and a friend got caught climbing up O'Connells statue at 4am by the police.
Later that night another friend cheated on his girlfriend....with a prostitute(At the time we all found it funny, him included, I bet she won't).

I'm actually thinking of the not drinking til Christmas too, I've just had a whole week of being out, I'm actually glad to be back at work!
The funniest thing I've seen was a girl in the Brog (a pub in Cork) during the week wearing a wedding dress and a veil, I don't think she was even after getting married, just wore it for fun? It's not Halloween for another few weeks, what was she thinking?

EDIT --> I'm too boring to do anything of interest when I'm out!

Haha, we would rip all the For Sale signs out the ground, then place them next to houses a few blocks up.

got stiletto heels stuck in a grill ....it took three people and a garda to remove them.
i like the guards in dublin much more fun and up for a laugh than ones in carlow!

Or during elections, 'alter' Sinn Fein posters to include swastikas and square moustaches :D

Is that mad bowling alley still down in Carlow? Was in there once, seemed... mad.

This is a fun thread! Great way to pass the boring Saturday night away.

Blanchardstown IT are banned from Carlow actually! They apparently crashed some shopping trolleys into a squad car. Maybe thats why Carlow gardai are so angry.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,578 ✭✭✭Scraggs

depends on how long ago... theres an even 'madder' bowling alley now....with a bar... and has other entertainment thingys its called the Dome [insert ooohs and aaahhhs]

can a whole college be banned from a place?....interesting...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,117 ✭✭✭✭MrJoeSoap

I'm not sure if it was a college-imposed ban or a Garda thing, it was on one of those "mystery tour" things. The bowling alley I'm talking about was upstairs in a long strip of shops in the centre of the town (I think). I was in it about 12 years ago I reckon. My relatives own the Red Setter B&B in the town there too. Nice enough place.

Another stupid thing I did while drunk was walk home from "Sin" in Temple Bar, to Clonsilla. A good 3/4 hour walk. I remember getting a wicked fright in the Phoenix Park from a herd of deer. There was no traffic so I walked most of the way down the middle of the road. It was pitch black when I entered the park and nice and bright when I left it. Its deceptively long.

Iv had some really long drunken missions :( , dont enjoy those at all. We would really walk far back home, some nights it would be 3-4 hours, those where the extremely stupid nights.
We got a hold of some Shopping Trolleys 1 night and where racing each other down the hill in them, not clever. We didnt think it through at all (as you tend to do) and my m8 ended up with a broken hand :o .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,117 ✭✭✭✭MrJoeSoap

Ah the shopping trolleys. A big drunken no-no. I ended up covered from head to toe in muck one night. It was worth it for the sheer comedy factor but I wouldn't say a broken hand was.

I hate having to walk home from town, granted it's only happened once or twice but it was horrible!Actually, I hate walking any kind of long distance when drunk in general, it just goes so slowly and makes you feel horrible. Makes the bed that bit more comfortable though....

Hehe I had a 20/25 min walk home after being out the other night. I didn't have a discman or anything to entertain myself so I started singing Justin Timberlake songs and doing big Kung Fu kicks everywhere...it seemed like a good idea at the time ;)

While preparing to have a Poo, a mate of mine got sick in his underpants!
