Student Cards? Can you get rid of the yellow line?

Hi, im only new on this but i have heard the myth around trinity that the yellow line on student cards ( which you seem to get if yar part of the elite under 18 club) can be taken off the card. Some have suggested using an eraser but i wanted to know if anybody has had success with this before i smudge the hell out of my card.

when you turn 18 you go to the student records office and they'll remove it for you. look up tcd.ie if you need a map.

otherwise just go the buttery before the bouncers start checking them (around 8). the pav never ask for it.

Just out of interest do people checking actually know/care if you have a yellow stripe on your card (well obviously they would know if you have a stripe, but do they know what it signifies.) Not that it matters to me, being one of those fortunate over-18iens.

no more discussing removing the stripe off the card as it is kind of illegal....
