There are three main variables, wheel diameter (measured in inches), stud pitch(distance between the studs measured in mm) and offset (measured in mm) you need to know all three for your car as offset varies from model to model and what fits a Galant may make a Lancer tramline. Lots of Japanese stuff is interchangeable but you should check model specific details with a professional supplier (www.performancealloys.com)

FIAT won't fit as they are all 98mm PCD (pitch)

What car have you got?The pcd on most jap cars is normally the same(4x100) and in normal steel wheels the offset isnt really a mjor problem, its when you fit alloys that are the wrong offset to a car that they will either rub the outside or inside archs if incorrect

Precisely what happened with my Colt. Elite in the UK sent me rims with a Honda offset by mistake, and they caught the arches. They were very good about it though, and shipped a correct set immediately. Pity they don't exist any more.

Actually alot of the newer Jap cars are switching to 5 stud wheels especially the ones built in Europe.

    Back to OP:

I assume you are talking about alloy wheels.

To be honest alloy wheels are not as expensive as they used to be so it might be worth exploring buying new.
