What's a good way of meeting new people at Trinity? Most of my friends have left Trinity and I'm back to base 1, somehow.

just ask any potential friends to say DART (as in dublin area rapid transit), if they pronounce it DORT, avoid them like the plague!

Edit: I joined no socs but I've made the best friends one can make from my class and adjoining faculties

Loupita find something you really enjoy doing and see if they'res a society/ club that matches your tastes. i joined the afro caribean society as they do afro dancing/ music and multicultural food evenings (if you like sampling food from every continent in the world), they also have great nights out and i doubt they drink too much. i'm hoping they're going to teach me how to bellydance

Sounds good.

I just need to decide whether I should quit my job or not. Just think I cannot manage working 2ohrs a week (it's not possible to work at the weekends) next to college as I'd need to miss a few tutorials and lectures which might not be the best choice in my final year.

well at the end of the day i'd say it's quite hard to manage a job/ your degree and a social life, especially in finnal year when the hours are quite long.

you could try working at christmas or the odd weekend or try doing temporary once-off work like for the tcd open day. subscribe to sujobs@tcd.ie, they're really good for that.

Well my first experimental batch was 60 bottles of delicious ale made from just malt extract. I've drank it all now because I miscalculated the ingredients and made 2 gallons into 5. So it tasted like a leffe shandy except with sparkling water instead of club orange.
