What are these, please? What program should I use to open them?

I googled it and - "File extension alcohol 120% uses for image files."

Alcohol 120% is only a Windows program but perhaps a Mac app like Toast might support those files…

When I clicked on the .mdf file it offered to open using ffmpeg, but that leaves the .mds file...

The two files make up an obscure Japanese chicklit-type film someone gave me. I just can't work out how to watch it on the Mac.

A PC user has suggested that I use ISObuster - is there a Mac equivalent?

    Got it working:

    1) rename the .mdf file as an .iso file

    2) Double-click on it so it shows as a disk image
