Anyone using an internal card reader?

When I first installed XP, I had 4 extra drives in My Computer, and thinking that that was really untidy like, I disabled the entire card reader and it stayed like that for the last 6 months or so until yesterday.

Re-enabled it yesterday and no extra drives, just a power light on the front, and if I put in a card, the access light might just flash for a split second.

It's listed in device manager with no conflicts or anything, connected via USB, BIOS doesn't seem to have any information on it (although whilst looking I discovered I don't have to buy a USB2.0 PCI card, some ****er disabled my USB2.0 controller, yay!)

Anyway, the card reader, anyone any ideas? I have a CompactFlash card that I really need access to, and I'm a bit stuck. Stupid computers like! Great when they work.

I never actually used it, I'm assuming it was working ;)

And come on, disabling and re-enabling a device from the device manager has never turned out like this for me :(

Seriously, no ideas as to what might be wrong or how to fix it?
