I'm having the same problems. Was flying along in a multi, thought I might make it two out of two for the day but now I'll just be getting my money back! Sick

I was hit with this too while motoring along nicely in an mtt. Apparently their server in the US was hit by lightening (???). What's going to be the story? After the initial response, I've gotten no further information on how they're going to resolve this 'though they are probably swamped at the moment. The first response suggested that things were restored after an hour or two (I only got this email this morning). I didn't know what to read into this - did the tournament continue afterwards? That would seem to be patently unfair and if it did, I'd imagine about half the players got blinded off. On the other hand, giving the entrance fee back to everyone is hardly fair either - surely the eliminated players would have no right to a refund. So what do you do? Divvy up the prize money between the remaining players? Do you give the same refund to someone with a tiny stack as the chip leader? Tricky.

I actually did win two tournaments yesterday Des, would have been 3 out of 3 if the poxy server hadn't went! Well, I like to think so anyway :) . Yeah one was a $50 fo on gaming club with 40 odd which I got $900 for and then I won the $200 fo 6k gtd on tribeca for $2880 with 30 odd runners. Pretty good weekend until I went and dropped $600 playing heads up on tribeca and €420 in the Merrion EPT satellite today. Flopped two pair and Jerry sucked out on the turn with a higher 2 pair, absolutely sick.

I don't know about you dave but I usually consider any weekend where I'm up two and a half grand to be a "good" weekend.

    Dave,

is that Gerry, who is married to Margaret? If so, then I have to be happy for him even if its at your expense. If it isn't that Gerry, then what a bastrado!

so you're getting the hang of the game now? thats nice.

Yep that's the Gerry, he's normally extremely unlucky so it could have gone to a worse person. Yeah and it was a excellent weekend, I should have realised when I said it was a "pretty good weekend" that sarcasm doesn't really come across too well on the internet.

The 'Players Online' display in the VC lobby used to display 4k odd at peak Irish times not that long ago, it's currently showing 6790. I'm sure the network has had trouble adapting to the influx of extra money. I'm not sure if this number reflects VC players, or the total number of fish in the Tribeca ocean.

Maybe it has something to do with the exodus from Party skins. Party is no longer the "Largest poker site on the net"

Apologies. Not to be in anyway "the dog ate my homework" about it. A severe lightning storm hit the centre that the servers are housed in and as you witnessed it brought the entire network with it. It then took considerable time to retrieve data and clean out the system so it was a nasty affair indeed. PPP raised five Lightning Strikes $50 tournaments to try and compensate somewhat in the aftermatch. Send any issues you have to poker@paddypowerpoker.com and the guys will sort out any arising problems you have had.
    Many apologies
    Nikki

You do realise that offering $50 freerolls is only going to keep your small players happy, unless your thinking is that any bigger player with half a brain is going to be on DoylesRoom getting rakeback?

anyone finding issues with PPP since it came back up? I'm constantly getting disconnected or timed out even though other sites and general internet access is fine.

It's gotten so bad that I've logged off and stopped playing, I was well up on two 50c/$1 tables but it's too inconsistent to keep playing, i keep getting dropped from hands.

Back to FT until it's sorted I guess

Sorry to bump this thread but is anybody else experiencing the problem above with either PPP or Tribeca in general? I'm still having this problem where the game seems to freeze on every other hand and by the time it runs again I've either timed out or about to be timed out...

If it's just me I'll deinstall and try to reinstall the program, but I'm not having this problem on any other sites or with general internet access :(

When there is an issue we would have a number of queries. This is the first I have heard of this problem. I suggest you try a custom uninstall (remove all files via add/remove) then re-download. Could be a corrupt file although this would normally result in more than just connectivity issues.
Ping us if this doesnt work.. I could send you out a CD which contains the full version of the poker software..
