    I was waiting for the bus on the Quay after work and the eintire Quay was plunged into darkness for about a minute, the lights came on shortly afterwards though but when I was passing the Tower Hotel (where I work) there was no light in there at all!

    I just found out that the blackout caused the Tower Hotel's pool pump to fail which resulted in the pool leaking into the cellar down below!

    I had to re-set all my VCR's and Microwaves and cookers :(
