Some advice about the new motherboards would be appreciated as i'm not up2date on the new tech

what i need is a Socket 775 motherboard with Pci express and minimum of 4 sata connections at a cost of €100-€150

what i'd like but could live without, a firewire connection, Dual DDR2, and an extra bonus would be a built in vga for when the graphics card breaks a couple of weeks out of the warranty period (Like my 9800PRO did last week)

Since I've mentioned it any graphics cards you care to praise, curse, etc would be helpful too.

Maybe? Its a B-Grade product but it has just about everything you want :). PC Format gave it good reviews.

Looks like a good board but at €150 it's not a bargain for a b-grade product I'd prefer to get a full priced board with all the cables and the rest included
Cheers for the link it's got me thinking....

i'm not much of an expert on motherboards but over the last 2 years i have put together pc's using Foxconn, MSI and misc motherboards. Of all the ones i've done i've always found that ASuS motherboards fair outway their rival boards....
