Molex Connectors

Well the molex connector has served us well for many many years, but do you reckon its days are numbered? Looking into my case i find that at this stage im only using 2 out of a possible 6.
My thinking is soon IDE drives will be a thing of the past so no need for a molex there. High end graphics cards will use those big ass 8pin things.
The only future use for them that i can think of is for your extra fans and blinding lights :).
    What you folk reckon?

Well, already the SATA drives have an alternate power connector and the new PCIe graphics cards use a different one. However, I'm still getting full use of the 8 molex connectors in my case, aswell as needing two double adapters on top of that. I can't see them dissappearing any time soon. IDE will be with us for a while longer I'd say.

Personally i think that sata power connectors come out far too easily so i prefer molex's to power my hard disks
