I need a computer for audio (cubaseSX etc.) AND visual editing/processing (photoshop, premiere). I'm not sure if i should get a laptop and bring it in and out of college every day, or get a home computer and use an external hard-drive like an ipod or usb thingymebob and spend my money on memory and specs as opposed to portability.
    Whatcha recon?
I realise it might get expensive...boo... but good gear costs i suppose.
I'm in a bit of a quandry and must reach a decision this weekend.

A good desktop machine will set you back a bit but an equivalent spec'd laptop will still cost more, it all depends on your preference really, if your buying external hard drives or USB memory sticks and go with a desktop computer i'd hazzard a guess that you'd save money.
