Alternative ways to Access Gmail?

Anyone know of any alternatives to accessing gmail. Work has blocked all access to web based email.
Don't want to bother using Pop3, because the firewall is fairly strict and the ports would more than likely be blocked.
    Anyone any ideas?

When I was in a heavily restricted workplace and wanted access to boards.ie (god damn you websense!!) I used my account at www.dyndns.org to setup "boardsie.dyndns.org" (enter the boards webserver ip)

As the dyndns site wasn't blocked by websense, I had unrestricted boardsing at all times! :D

Doubt it'll work with GMail though - I remember trying it before, and they use a combination of different redirects upon login, so it's very hard to pinpoint the IP that you need to use to enter into the dyndns settings for yuor new host.

... so maybe this post is useless to you ... *shrug* :)

    What may also be possible:

If you have access to a linux server (and know how to use linux ... :) ) - setup sshd to listen on port 443 (SSL - it's likely that 443 is unrestricted).
SSH to your server on port 443, and you can setup a tunnel through the SSH session.

Setting your proxy to use your localhost as the server, and whatever port you have the tunnel setup on, will give you (I think) unmonitored, unrestricted net access.
So even viewing NSFW material will be completely safe - provided that your monitor isn't visable ;)

Putty can do tunnelling over an SSH session as far as I know.

    Good luck :)
