Firefox and Ebay

I often get mail from Ebay regarding Auctions that I have won, and contained in the Mail is a link to the auction in question.
When I am using firefox and click on the link, it doesn't work.
The problem is related to the fact that every ampersand symbol "&" has "amp;" after it.
If I go to the address bar and manually remove "amp;" from the address than the link functions as normal.
can anyone help with this problem?

Weird. What format are you viewing the emails in? By default, eBay sends HTML emails. The HTML standard requires that "&" is used for ampersands in urls. This shouldn't pose a problem in HTML emails, but if you're forcing it to plaintext, then the mail client will view the "&" as literally that, and not as "&".

I am using hotmail and the setting I had was for advanced display ie all the routing info was shown.
I changed it to basic and it still did the same.

You do see the mail in the HTML format though - pictures, bells whistles, etc?

Try forwarding it to a different non-hotmail address and seeing if it works there.

Links work in Gmail, but there are no pics or buttons just the blue highlighted text link,

Google hides images by default, i think default. There is a link on top of the page to "Shoe images" or something.
