Change output to PAL in Display properties.

I have a brand new tv and I had a similar problem
I found that if I set my tv's channel to "SVHS" it had colour, but if it was on the AV or scart-channels that it was black and white.

But if it's an old TV then it's likely that Kdjac's suggestion is the problem

I ahd the same problem. I'd bought crappy leads. Nothing to do with the telly at all.

Forget where I bought them but you really want gold tip, insulated, blah blah, blah leads.

I got a 24ft one for cheap if I remember rightly.

    Found the site.

See at the bottom of the page.

Worked great for me. Shame I bought several before from Harvey F'ing Norman, the theiving swine. :)

Same here - I went through around five different leads before I bought one off s-video.com (ordered it over Christmas and received it within a week).

It's nothing to do with the TV, it's the lead/connector.
