The students union has brought in new rules about Alcohol. Rag Week will never be the same. No drink on the gig rig and no prizes of alcohol.

Drink reps banned from campus. No beat the clock and spirits promotions. Happy hours have been cut back.

There was a proposal earlier for a 2-4 drink maximum being enforced in the college bars. I've also heard in a committee that i'm on, that the drink budget for clubs and socs will be abolished next year, not this year. I'm not 100% on that tho, so hopefully i'm wrong.

Wrixons just so anti-drink. Thats why the steps are going in the new extension to the Student Centre. So students can't sit out with a pint.

Wonder how much money will be generated this time for RagWeek ?
    Adjourned to the Star methinks.

Student protests need to be organised by a good students union. They have long forgotten what past student unions have done and achieved.

Many things are promised each year. Nothing is ever done.

Student Unions have more akin with popularity contests for arts students then for ppl who want to protect our rights. E.g. for last years rally on the grants it was the Socialist Workers soc that had to hand out leaflets, take names etc. I was at the meeting after the rally, and tbh nothing discussed there ever looked like being implemented.

Oh yes and jaarius how could they tell if we didn't turn up for lectures? We don't have rolls taken :p

    well it makes sence,

    My reasoning:

    no drink
    = no fun
    = more time for study
    = more productive education
    = Shorter school year
    = More holidays
    = More time to drink

ho hardy ho , da logic is fantastic!

No drink, no fun, no rag week, no blowing off steam, no £9000 collected for charity.

If that got that one trhough it would be shameful.Sitting in the college bar all day peacefully slurping pints is a divine right.
