    Hi Folks,
Myself and fiance are looking at honeymoon destinations at the moment..the two of us would like to visit Canada. Now I have been there a few years ago...to Montreal but now I would like to visit some more scenic parts (mind you, Montreal did have some lovely sights!).

Can anyone suggest some places that's great for scenery and some R&R...maybe a nice log cabin or mountain side hotel..bear in mind we would be going in the month of November '06.

    Thanks folks..have a nice weekend!

Banff/Lake Louise/Jasper might be worth checking out - some very high-end hotels, and in November you should be early enough to not really be into peak ski season so prices should be more reasonable.

Maybe consider Whistler in BC either - again, a ski destination but November is early enough to be their 'shoulder' season so stuff could be reasonably priced. You could combine a stay in Whstler with some time in Vancouver...

Quebec city is beautiful if you want to go back to that neck of the woods. There is also a rain forest just north of Vancouver that looks absolutely amazing, you know the golden beaches with turquoise water, that type of thing! Not sure how it would work out in November though...

Like someone else said too, Banff, Jasper, Lake Louise are all lovley. Lake Louise has a nice hotel, and some great walks up around it. I'd imagine it would be quite nice for a honeymoon.

excellent, I'll look into those locations so...as for Quebec City, I would definitely head back that way...I heard it is a beautiful city alright but unfortunately never got a chance to visit it when I was in Montreal. Thanks to everyone for all the advice.

I would also highly recommend Jasper and Banff. I spent the summer in Vancouver a few years ago and then took a road trip up through Whistler and across to Banff and Jasper. Very scenic drive, especially between Banff and Jasper. Lake Louise is very nice and there are also numerous other lakes that you will stumble upon if you drive that are all breathtaking.

I dont know what the weather would be like though in November, we went on the trip at the beginning of September while the weather was still good.
