I have been getting the strangest emails in my yahoo inbox lately.

Under Subjet it will have : [none]
Under sender it has someone's name, this time it was : rona
The email address was: idnfpxwpnnxfavduncan@excite.ca

There is no message, just blank. I have had 3 of these within the last few weeks, what the hell are they? Any ideas.

Is it possible that they contain attached virii, and your anti-virus application is removing the attachments?

they could be 'testers'. i've heard of it done where spammers 'test' a mail box to find out if its active, they can tell if you open the mail, then they know the address is active and bombard it with spam. not sure how the process works or if this is a symptom of that kind of thing but worth keeping in mind

Well it is a yahoo account which seems to just take all the spam and put it in a seperate file. Could also be a virus, lets just hope AVG is up to the job :).
